Life with children means an infinite number of happy moments - the first words, a hug, an “I love you, mom and dad”, bedtime rituals, lots of shared experiences - all of this shapes and strengthens parents and should be cherished in their hearts forever.
Giving birth to a healthy child and ensuring that it stays healthy is probably the greatest wish of all parents who have decided to create a new life. However, the unique experience of suddenly having a child with a disability teaches many of them that nothing in life can be taken for granted.
It goes without saying how drastic such an event is and how much it affects life with an impaired child. However, many families who have already been through this journey have proven that it is possible to draw strength from it and mature and experience moments of happiness on an unimagined scale.
Some of them would like to share their personal experiences with you, here you will find opportunities for personal contact with parents, users and self-help initiatives.
Hearing consultants
To the Team Höribald team also includes parents who are available to answer your questions or concerns online, by phone or in person. They have all agreed to share their experience and knowledge with others who are just starting out on their journey and may therefore be valuable contacts for you and your family.
Self-help groups & initiatives
Helping other people and getting socially involved make us as humans happy. This has even been scientifically proven. It strengthens our self-esteem, we are happy about the gratitude and recognition and we feel a sense of solidarity with one another. Those who help others and are socially committed do just as much good for themselves as they do for other people.
Many people also want to share their positively mastered fate with others by making their experiences and knowledge available to others.
These self-help groups and initiatives are available at various locations to provide you with advice and support:
Association for the promotion and counseling of hearing-impaired children and children with Usher syndrome
