"Don't wait too long for a cochlear implant!"

My name is Max, I come from Gleisdorf and I have cochlear implants on both sides. My hearing loss is hereditary and I needed hearing aids when I was around 40. But over time, my hearing got worse and worse. At some point, it was no longer possible to hear on the right with a conventional hearing aid. So, on the advice of my ENT doctor, I decided to get a cochlear implant.

At first, I found it difficult to adjust to all the new sounds. But today I wouldn't want to miss these new sounds. I can hear my environment and my fellow human beings much better again. The best thing for me is to be in the company of people again. It's a decision for life, but with the right attitude it's definitely worth it. I advise all those affected to practise a lot in order to achieve the best possible hearing results.
